Mary Gallivan, MBA
Mary brings 25+ years of leadership experience in the nonprofit, higher ed, and entrepreneurial sectors, along with a deep understanding of how people and systems work best. Her superpowers are connecting the dots and getting things done. She combines big-picture strategy with hands-on execution, helping clients implement practical solutions that improve operations, enhance collaboration, and increase impact.
She’s passionate about using technology, including AI and productivity tools, to help people and organizations work smarter, not harder.
Mary has held leadership roles at CNM Ingenuity, Foundation For The Carolinas,
E4E Relief, and the Jimmie Johnson Foundation.
Community Involvement
Mary is a Marshall Memorial Fellow, participating in the transatlantic global leadership program of the German Marshall Fund, and a graduate of both Leadership Charlotte and Leadership Charleston. Mary has served on various committees and boards including the Women’s Impact Fund, the North Carolina Network of Grantmakers, SHARE Charlotte, Philanos and Charleston Women in Tech. She is an active member of Women Executives.
Education, Training and Awards
Mary received her BA from Duke University and her MBA from Queens University, where she was a Blumenthal Foundation Fellowship recipient and winner of the David C. Stephens Entrepreneurship Award. Mary has certificates in Prompt Engineering, Data Science for Business Leaders, and Salesforce Administration. Mary is a recipient of Charlotte Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award.
